Tooth discoloration
Pain while chewing

A dental examination is required to confirm whether a root canal is necessary.

Are dental X-rays safe?

Yes. We use modern digital dental X-rays that expose patients to very low levels of radiation and help detect dental problems accurately and early. We use advanced digital radiography systems that emit extremely low levels of radiation compared to traditional X-rays. They are safe, highly precise, and crucial for detecting hidden decay between teeth or under old fillings.

What should I do if I have a severe toothache?

A severe toothache can be a sign of tooth decay, infection, an abscess, or a damaged tooth. If you experience intense or persistent pain, don't ignore it. Rinse your mouth with warm salt water, gently floss around the affected tooth to remove any trapped food, and avoid chewing on that side of your mouth. If needed, you may take an over-the-counter pain reliever as directed, but avoid placing aspirin directly on the tooth or gums.Seek dental care as soon as possible, especially if your toothache is accompanied by swelling, fever, or difficulty swallowing. Early diagnosis and treatment can help relieve pain, prevent the infection from spreading, and save your natural tooth. At Unity Mission Dental Clinic, our team provides prompt and effective treatment to identify the cause of your toothache and restore your oral health.

Do you accept walk-ins or emergency dental cases?

While we accept walk-ins for urgent care, calling ahead helps our team prepare for your immediate arrival. Our team will do its best to accommodate emergency cases as quickly as possible and provide the care you need. For routine dental visits, scheduling an appointment in advance is recommended to minimize waiting time and ensure a convenient experience.

Why Should I Seek Immediate Treatment for a Dental Emergency?

Delaying treatment can lead to worsening pain, infection, permanent tooth damage, and more complex procedures. Seeking immediate dental care improves the chances of saving your tooth and helps prevent further complications.
